No doubt you have all been eagerly anticipating the publication of Al Mele's new book, Effective Intentions: The Power of Conscious Will. I'm happy to report that the wait is over! Click here to see the OUP page for the book. (Note the cover art in particular, as it was designed by Al's daughter.) Congratulations to Al on what I'm sure is another illuminating contribution to the field.
Congrats!
I'm officially starting my stopwatch for Al's next book now, and I'm taking wagers whether he'll have a draft ready by the end of next month.

Also congrats to Manuel Vargas for being recently a guest on philosophy talk:

(Ugh... I now realized that it's actually been 3 weeks but I recently noticed it.)
Of course, Prof. Perry and Taylor have now hosted a semi-compatibilist and a revisionist on the show. The third free-will related candidate will be a hard-incompatibilist (nay, an impossibilist) and pace my attempts to convince Prof. Perry of the undeniable truth of free will non-realism, I expect to be the next free-will related guest :-P. (which will mark my upgrade from a lowly, plebby, former researcher to a glorious guest.)

Thanks Cihan.
For the record, on May 10th PhilosophyTalk is going to have a libertarian on the show, so that's something. Alas, that libertarian (Dan Speak) won't be talking much about libertarianism, I think.
Also, because self-promotion is still the new modesty, I'll note that I'm guest blogging at Eric Schwitzgebel's blog—The Splintered Mind—for the next few weeks: http://schwitzsplinters.blogspot.com
And don't worry, I won't do any substantive philosophy there, either.
