As a rare scientist in the Garden, may I apologize on behalf of my fellow scientists for this "fog" as Alan calls it.
The history of quantum mechanics and free will has been confused from day one when Arthur Stanley Eddington identified the "free" electron as possibly making room for free will.
It is possible (though a bit of attention to detail is needed) to clear the fog.
