Search the Garden

Jorge Luis Borges

  • "Under the trees of England I meditated on this lost and perhaps mythical labyrinth. I imagined it untouched and perfect on the secret summit of some mountain; I imagined it drowned under rice paddies or beneath the sea; I imagined it infinite, made not only of eight-sided pavilions and of twisting paths but also of rivers, provinces and kingdoms. I thought of a maze of mazes, of a sinuous, ever growing maze which would take in both past and future and would somehow involve the stars."

New Political Philosophy Blog

. . . called "Public Reason" is here. Organized by Simon Cabulea May, the contributors roster looks impressive. Good luck to 'em.

Comments

Thanks for the post Manuel. Public Reason is intended to be something very similar to the Garden of Forking Paths: essentially, an open forum for political philosophers and theorists to post papers, talks, queries, ideas, conference announcements, and so on - anything to do with academic political philosophy in short.

If any Gardeners who moonlight as political philosophers would like to join up, please email me. We are, however, initially requiring that graduate studies have been completed, at least until such time as the blog is well-established.
